Chris & Jenny Jolin

Chris and Jenny believe that one of the primary places for the gospel of Jesus Christ to be exclaimed and proclaimed is in the home. Our everyday activities of life are all to be used for God’s glory and for the mission of Jesus. As we invite soldiers and families into our life, we are creating an intentional fellowship of believers who regularly eat together, study God’s Word together, relax together, celebrate the big events of life together, pray together, bless together and do all the everyday things of life together. We currently carry out the Great Commission in the military community of Fort Hood, Texas.

Their Story

Chris came to faith as a young teenager and at the end of High School followed God’s leading into the Army. He served his 3-year enlistment at Ft. Knox, KY. There he was introduced to a ministry and a model of ministry that would impact his life forever. He was discipled and invited into the lives and homes of Christians who taught him how to read his Bible, pray and take the mission of Jesus as a holy calling for all Christians.

Jenny comes from a family of believers and followed that long and blessed family history by coming to faith at a young age. She was active in church, Bible studies and Christian camps growing up. After High School she followed God’s leading to attend Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. During this time Chris and Jenny met and began dating long distance.

After Chris left active-duty they were married in 1999. God had always had on their hearts a call to ministry to the military. When Chris entered seminary and was commissioned as a Chaplain-candidate in the US Army Reserve, they believed the path was set for them to fulfill that call, but God had other plans!

In 2013 the Jolins began the process of becoming missionaries to the military as a full-time vocational calling. This is a true saying: all Christians are called to ministry, God just routes their pay through different sources. The Jolins have been called to “go” and have been so blessed by the many (some churches, but many individuals and families) who actively “send” them. Thank you for joining us! Together we are proclaiming and exclaiming the Gospel “to the ends of the earth.”
