Craig & Kim Jentink

Craig and Kim served as missionaries with OCSC/Cadence International since 1987. While single, Craig began military ministry in Okinawa during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. After leaving Okinawa he started a ministry in North Pole, Alaska called Base Camp, ministering to the soldiers and airmen at Fort Wainwright and Eielson AFB. In 1995 Craig met Kim, and a year later they were married. The Jentinks continued Hospitality House ministry in Alaska until late 2000. They then moved with their two small children to Colorado where Craig helped provide missionary care at Cadence Headquarters. Craig spent 18 years (2006-2024) shepherding missionaries as a field leader. Kim joined him in caring for missionary field staff during the last five of those years. Most recently, the Lord directed the Jentinks to begin a new ministry near Fort McCoy, Wisconsin with Shiloh Military Ministries. They will provide a hospitality and discipleship ministry to the soldiers at Fort McCoy, as well as open their home to missionaries and pastors who need care. Craig and Kim are excited and look forward with great anticipation to this new start-up as the Lord unfolds His story in their lives.

Their Story

Both Craig and Kim came to Christ at an early age and were blessed to grow up in a Christian home. They both were also significantly impacted by, and served in, camp ministry in their formative teen years. Craig was mentored by godly men in Christian Service Brigade and was shaped by that organization. After high school he studied photography at a technical college and later joined the Army. Craig used his photographic skill while he served at Arlington Hall Station, Virginia, and in South Korea. After the military, Craig attended the Moody Bible Institute, and while there, was introduced to Overseas Christian Servicemen’s Centers which later became Cadence International. Craig served as a missionary with Cadence for 37 years.

Kim grew up on a farm and was significantly mentored by godly women in her family – a family deeply rooted in modeling hospitality – sharing the gospel and their very lives in their small farming community. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a degree in Secondary Education. Having felt the call to missions, she traveled to a teaching job fair in Alaska in June of 1995 seeking to teach in rural bush communities. There she met Craig at Base Camp, where he was ministering to the airmen and soldiers of Eielson AFB and Fort Wainwright. Shortly after they were married, she joined Craig in hospitality ministry. For 28 years she has walked alongside Craig, sharing in this grand adventure of ministry.

They have two adult children, both born in Alaska. Nathanael is a field technician with Bobcat of the Rockies and lives near Denver Colorado. Karis is a Registered Dietitian and works as a counselor for those struggling with eating disorders with Tracy Brown RD. She lives in Windsor Colorado.
