Amy Aguer

Amy grew up with a grandmother like Timothy’s in the Bible. “Grandma D” lived her faith by visiting the elderly and those in need. Amy’s grandparents didn’t have much, but their home was always welcoming, with a place set for guests. Grandma D loved nothing more than feeding a hungry group of young men. Thus, Amy’s love of welcoming others into her home was born. She was blessed to grow up in a Bible-teaching church and accepted Christ at the age of 14 through a former Marine drill sergeant named Pastor Romaine. She has been volunteering in ministries ever since. Amy continues to take Bible courses offered at The Master’s University and Grace Baptist Church.

Amy and John have been married since 1992. The Lord has blessed them with two beautiful daughters, Ciera (Matt) and Joy. They also have two beautiful grandchildren, Joshua Thomas and Mabel Grace. Their family love going on adventures – camping, hiking, ministry events, bonfires, etc.

After Ciera joined Shiloh Military Ministries (SMM) Amy felt called to be a Finance volunteer with SMM. Amy has 35+ years’ experience in Finance. She has worked as a church Finance Director, as well as for government agencies. She owned her small business as a CPA, for 12 years, providing tax and accounting services, along with gospel encouragement to clients. Amy once thought accounting didn’t matter in the eternal scheme of things. A children’s pastor told her that having someone take care of his ministry’s tax and accounting allowed him time to focus on his ministry. He was a huge encouragement to Amy.

It has been a joy to take some of the “behind-the-scenes” burden off the Shiloh missionaries. Amy enjoys being an encouragement to the Shiloh Ministries’ missionaries and volunteers!
